The jp nsmb wii site has been updated with the koopalings some time ago.

Click on the blue circle with the arrow.

Click on each of the koopalings and you get both artwork and (what I think) is a brief bio about each of them.
Can anyone translate this?

I'll give it a shot. For some reason the Koopalings are called "Bowser's Underlings" this time around.

Well even though they are, in fact, Bowser's kids - at the same time they ARE his underlings. That's kinda where the 'lings' part of of 'Koopalings' came from.

True, but I was surprised that Nintendo didn't just go with "Kokuppa" like they did before. (This is a Mario game, though...)

Sorry for the double post. The bios are mostly about their methods of attack, so I just summed up the interesting bits as well as I could.

LARRY: The first of the underlings who awaits in the starting world.

ROY: His bad-boy sunglasses are his defining feature.

LEMMY: Retains his childlike innocence.

WENDY: A strong-minded, intrusive tomboy.

IGGY: A trickster who gets carried away when taunting opponents.

MORTON: His power depends on the strength of his weapon. (Something like that.)

LUDWIG: Precocious and arrogant, may be the smartest of his peers.

Yeah, Larry and Morton's are boring.

Huh? Wendy is a tomboy? That doesn't sound right.

Well, minions is correct. They aren't bowser's children in Japan. That was a "The Adventures of Super Mario Brothers 3" invention, which they ran with in the USA. Ko-kuppa just means little koopa, or young koopa.
Note: I refer to Japanese RPGs as CMG - Creative Math Game. There is no actual roleplaying in a JRPG, therefore it doesn't get to be called one.

WHAT!? EVERYTHING I KNOW IS A LIE!!! Man, I always believed they were his kids. So the US promoted the idea after the show? I was pretty sure Nintendo themselves officially claimed they were his kids.

Wendy is a tomboy?

I believe the Japanese and American ideas of what constitutes a "tomboy" varies.

I'm sure "Kuppa" is Bowser's japanese name. This means Ko-kuppa translates into "Little Bowsers", which implies that they are his children too.
